Surface cleaning of archaeological objects by plasma generated in water solutions
Tihonová, Jitka ; Grossmannová, Hana (referee) ; Krčma, František (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the plasma surface treatment of historical ceramics by low temperature electrical discharges in water solution. Four samples were chosen - two of the Lusatian Urnfields Culture and two of Anabaptist Faience. The treatment was done at minimum power of the power supply. Stainless steel electrode and a specially designed electrode system with wolfram wire in the quartz glass capillary were used for generation of discharge using an audio frequency power supply. Elemental analysis by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was done before and after the treatment and values were compared with the elemental analysis of material’s core. Samples of the Lusatian Urnfields Culture were successfully treated without any surface damage. The first one of samples of Anabaptist Faience was damaged. The experiment was repeated on the glass to determine the cause. It was find out that damage was probably caused by thermal stress. The second one of Anabaptist Faience was already treated without damage. Next research will be focused on determining specific conditions of the power supply, modification of water solution and modification of sample’s surface for the most efficient ancient ceramics cleaning.
Design of replicated production of the selected part and verification of shape and dimensions using optical 3D scanning methods
Šrenk, Jakub ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
This work is engaged in the prototype casting of resin with usage of reverse engineering technology and rapid protopyping. Surface quality and dimensional accuracy was optimized in a production process. The technology of 3D scanning, rapid prototyping, soft tooling and finishing methods is discussed in the theoretical part. Then in the practical part there is analyzed manufacturing process of the selected component for replicated production. 3D scanning, additive technology, soft tools and surface finishing methods were used in the manufacturing process. In the last step, the dimensional accuracy is evaluated and also the technology for serial and piece production was chosen.
Manufacturing of the Adjusting Screw by Extrusion
Třeštík, Jakub ; Kopřiva, Miloslav (referee) ; Šlais, Miroslav (advisor)
TŘEŠTÍK JAKUB: Manufacturing of the Adjusting Screw by technology of solid forming. The Bachelor's degree project, 3rd form, summer semester, academic year 2007/2008, educational group 3P2 Engineering - Manufacturing Technology, Brno University of technology, Faculty of mechanical engineering, department of metal and plastic moulding, May 2008. This project solves the manufacturing process of part Adjusting Screw by technology of solid forming. Screw is made of steel 12040.3. Semi-finished product is cylinder with diameter 16,2 mm and length 101 mm. A part is made during 4 solid forming operations on multistage automatic machine TPZ 16 manufactured by ŠMERAL Brno, a. s.
Surface Modification of Zinc Alloys
Kinc, Marek ; Foral, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The object of this bachelor’s thesis is to create a research in field of zinc alloys. In the first part, there are outlined production of pure zinc with a different methods and briefly described the treatment of waste. The next are described the zinc alloys and their properties and outline the ways of die casting. The end of this thesis is focused on methods of finishing the surfaces.
Study of the ETICS surface resistance to biotic attack
Těžká, Adéla ; Žák,, Antonín (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the study of resistance of ETICS surface treatments to biotic attack. The theoretical part elaborates a research focused on biotic attack of facades of buildings insulated by contact insulation systems ETICS. Based on the information obtained during the elaboration of the bachelor thesis and further study, the optimization methodology of ETICS surface treatment resistance to biotic attack proposed in 2018 is elaborated. In the practical part, the proposed methodology is verified, evaluated and recommendations concerning the suitability of using the proposed methodology in construction practice are implemented.
Surface treatment of ABS parts after FDM 3D print
Světlík, David ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the surface treatment of parts made of plastic produced using FDM technology and design of technological device for surface treatment. The thesis describes FDM principles, according to performed experiments in a technological device there are suggested technological conditions for the surface treatment of parts made of ABS plastic. In the end of the thesis, there are calculated costs of the technological device and its operating costs, also mechanical properties, surface roughness and other specifications from before and after the treatment are compared.
Modern methods surface treatment of steering ball joint pin with respect to the fatigue life
Franc, Petr ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is created under study department of B-SSZ Construction machinery and equipment construction. The scope is analysis of surface treatment method influence on ball pin fatigue life. This topic has not yet been systematicaly analyzed in this branch. The thesis can be used as a guideline for choosing optimal surface coating method.
Surface treatments of internal combustion engines cylinders
Malec, Petr ; Raffai, Peter (referee) ; Maršálek, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is a professional research, which describes the most common methods of surface treatments of modern internal combustion engines cylinders. The work consists of the distribution of the species changes, their use and justification of their application. It also describes the technology of individual surfaces, their coating and finishing operations to achieve the best results of sliding surface.
Emisivity and its Impact on the Heat Conductivity
Gančev, Jan ; Hejátková, Edita (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
This work deals with the issue of emissivity and its impact on the heat dissipation. The first part describes the basics of thermal management, the issue of emissivity and its measurement. In the second, experimental part, are dedicated the emissivity values of examined specimens. These values are then used as initial conditions for the thermal simulation. In the last part are compared the measured results and the simulated results and is evaluated the impact of emissivity for the heat dissipation.
Hot dip galvanizing of the steel construction
Pometlo, Stanislav ; Vyplašil, Evžen (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with hot dip galvanizing of steel constructions and their protection from corrosion. This work describes the origin of corrosion of steel and its corrosion in different areas and presents degreasing and pickling before hot dip galvanization. It describes possibilities of making zinc layer by the wet and draw method of hot dip galvanization. Furthermore, it puts forward reactions between zinc and iron, possible defects of the zinc layer and influence of the hot dip galvanizing on the steel constructions. The experimental part examines the influence of the hydrogen charging on the material and the time of the flux operation on the quality of layer. The work further analyses the changing of mechanical properties of steels Hardox 500 and Weldox 700 as a result of the hydrogen embrittlement during pickling by the hydrochloric acid.
